Be Part of an Adventure at the Heart of the Championships
Joining the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc as a volunteer means much more than taking part in a sporting event: it means joining a collective movement and helping bring the Championships to life. Volunteers are the people who put their energy, enthusiasm and commitment at the heart of the event.
Welcoming and guiding spectators, supporting athletes, assisting visitors, showcasing Haute-Savoie… everyone can find their place and play their part in making this historic event a success. Whatever your age, background or profile, you can be part of an open, committed and intergenerational community.

2. Let us guide you. At every stage of your journey towards becoming a volunteer, you’ll be supported along the way. The adventure is just beginning!
A Role for Everyone
Around twenty different roles are available, giving everyone the opportunity to find one that matches their interests, skills and availability. Media operations, accreditation, spectator services and accessibility, mobility and transport, ceremonies and protocol, sport operations… there are plenty of opportunities, and we are looking for a wide range of profiles.
Whether you’re passionate about cycling or simply curious to experience the event from behind the scenes, whether you already have experience or this is your first time volunteering, there’s a place for you in the team!
The programme is open to everyone aged 17 or over as of 1 January 2027. High school and university students, working professionals, retirees, people with disabilities and people who are currently unemployed or facing barriers to employment: the diversity of profiles is what makes our volunteer community so special.

Volunteers FAQ
Is there a minimum or maximum age to become a volunteer?
Yes, we’ll take care of everything! For each day you are volunteering, a full meal will be provided. Arrangements may vary from one site to another, as we want to support local providers and adapt to the specific needs of each site.
With this in mind, you will be asked to provide some information about your dietary requirements in the application form.
Is catering provided during my volunteer shift?
Yes, we’ve got you covered! For each day you are scheduled to volunteer, a full meal will be provided. Arrangements may vary from one venue to another, as we want to work with local partners and adapt to the specific needs and circumstances of each site.
Does becoming a volunteer include accommodation?
Unfortunately, no, we are not able to provide accommodation for all volunteers. However, some municipalities hosting the competitions may offer accommodation solutions. We are working on this on a case-by-case basis with each host city, and further information will be shared in due course.
Will I receive any support for public transport as a volunteer?
We hope so, and we are actively working towards it. Our ambition is to make local public transport free for volunteers, but this depends on external partners and is therefore not confirmed at this stage.
However, one thing is certain: travel expenses by private car will not be covered by the organisation.
Can I apply as part of a group (friends, family, etc.)?
Yes, absolutely! The best approach is to designate one team member to complete the application form first. Once registered, this team member will be able to invite the others to submit their applications as a group.
One important clarification: applying as a team only makes sense if everyone wants to take part in the same assignment at the same site. Otherwise, it is better to submit individual applications.
What skills are required to become a volunteer?
None! We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic volunteers, but no specific skills are required. That said, if you have any particular skills, you can mention them in the application form - they may come in handy during the World Championships.
In addition, you will receive both general training and mission-specific training before the World Championships.
Finally, no specific language skills are required. You simply need to speak French or English. Any additional languages will be a bonus, but many volunteers will speak only French.
Can I indicate my preferences for my role and deployment location?
Yes, absolutely. This is one of the purposes of the application form: you will be able to indicate your preferences regarding both your assignment and your deployment site. We will then do our best to offer you an assignment that matches your interests and preferences.
One thing is certain at this stage: no volunteer will be assigned to Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines unless they have expressed a preference to be deployed there.
What happens after I submit my application?
You’ll need to be a little patient while we review all applications between September and December 2026. Starting in January, we will gradually get back to each applicant.
