The Countdown Has Begun

In just over a year, Haute-Savoie will host the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships, the biggest cycling event ever staged.

From 24 August to 5 September 2027, France will come alive with the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships, bringing together 20 UCI World Championships within a single event for the very first time. Between Haute-Savoie and the National Velodrome of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, more than 15,000 athletes - from the world's greatest champions to the best amateur riders - will gather to celebrate every discipline of cycling.

Designed as a true festival of cycling, the event schedule will feature competitions and highlights every day. The goal is simple: to give the two million spectators expected on site, along with the millions of fans following the event around the world, the opportunity to experience a continuous celebration of cycling in all its forms.

 

Two Weeks of Competition Across Haute-Savoie

The first week will showcase the outdoor disciplines, featuring the Gravel World Championships in Châtel - Portes du Soleil, BMX Freestyle Flatland in Cluses, BMX Racing, Mountain Bike Downhill in Les Gets, and, as the week's highlight, the Men Elite Road Race on 29 August in Sallanches - Domancy - Pays du Mont-Blanc, including the legendary Domancy climb.

The second week will be marked by the Individual Time Trial around Lake Annecy, Mountain Bike Cross-country in Les Gets, Trial in Sallanches - Pays du Mont-Blanc, BMX Freestyle Park in Cluses, and a range of indoor disciplines, including Cycling Esports in Évian and Cycle Speedway and Indoor Cycling in La Roche-sur-Foron. The event will conclude on 5 September with the Women Elite Road Race in Sallanches - Domancy - Pays du Mont-Blanc.

Meanwhile, the track events will take place at the National Velodrome of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, where the Junior, Elite and Para-cycling Track World Championships will be held from 16 August to 5 September.

Bringing together 20 UCI World Championships within a single event for the first time, the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc will offer a unique celebration of every cycling discipline over nearly three weeks.
