Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc Classic - Bernard Hinault Experience

The routes for the inaugural edition of the Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc Classic – Bernard Hinault Experience have now been unveiled. Taking place on 6 September 2026 in Sallanches–Pays du Mont-Blanc, this new cyclosportive will invite cycling enthusiasts to ride on roads that will host the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc just one year later.

Two Routes, One Challenge

Two timed routes will be available:

110 km – Challenge, designed for cyclists looking to discover the roads of Haute-Savoie in a safe and enjoyable environment.
160 km – Endurance, a more demanding route featuring nearly 4,000 metres of elevation gain.

Participants will tackle some of the region's most iconic climbs, including the Col de la Colombière, the Plateau des Glières, and the legendary Côte de Domancy, where Bernard Hinault claimed the 1980 UCI Road World Championship title.

A Legacy of the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships

With Bernard Hinault as its patron, and as ambassador of the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc, this new cyclosportive is one of the event's flagship legacy initiatives. Created to become a lasting fixture on the cycling calendar, it celebrates the landscapes, heritage, and cycling culture of Haute-Savoie while giving participants the unique opportunity to experience the future World Championships routes one year before the event.
